Full-time hospitalization in child and adolescent psychiatry: an overlook of the Tunisian situation

Introduction Admissions in a child psychiatry unit can be voluntary or unvoluntary some cases when the patient meets specific criteria. Objectives The aim of our study was to assess frequency and trend over time admissions minors department Razi Hospital between 2011 2019, examine psychiatric diagnoses involuntary minors. Methods We conducted retrospective medical records inpatients admitted hospitalization Tunisia 2019. Results Over nine years, total number hospitalizations 924. There is slight female predominance (sex ratio = 0.85). no consistent significant change A growing increase compulsory noted. From increased from 03 22 Regarding hospitalizations, admission requests came protection delegates, public prosecutors family judges. Conduct disorder found 33.3% followed by normal examination 11.8% cases. Mood disorders were 9.8% Conclusions Our shows explosion despite relatively stable hospitalizations.
